Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, with fixed working hours from 8:00 – 5:00 Vietnam time.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect (Java Focus) to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems for international clients. This role bridges business and technology, working closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other architects to deliver robust and future-ready solutions.

You will play a key role in defining architecture, guiding engineering practices, and ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives, while still being hands-on when needed.

Job Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Lead the design of end-to-end technical solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and clients to analyze requirements and assess technical feasibility
• Work closely with development teams to translate architecture into implementation and provide technical guidance
• Partner with other Solution Architects to define system architecture and ensure consistency across projects
• Define and maintain architectural artifacts (solution diagrams, technical documentation, ADRs, etc.)
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
• Contribute to backlog estimation and technical planning
• Support the setup and optimization of delivery processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Promote best practices in software engineering, design patterns, and coding standards
• Ensure system quality attributes such as performance, scalability, security, and reliability

Must-have requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java
• Solid experience with Java EE (EJB, JMS), Kafka, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and Security
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Strong knowledge of databases: SQL, Oracle, MS SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices: TDD, BDD, CI/CD, DDD, Design Patterns
• Experience with modern architectural patterns: microservices, cloud-native, micro-kernel
• Ability to create and interpret technical documentation and diagrams (UML, draw.io, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex system environments
• Fluent English communication skills (both verbal and written)

Nice-to-have

• Experience working with financial services / banking domain
• Understanding of ISO 20022 or similar industry standards
• Familiarity with system monitoring, observability, and performance tuning
• Experience in defining and driving architecture governance and standards
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
