JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team, supporting the delivery of large-scale digital solutions in Banking, Retail Banking, and Mortgage domains. This role requires a strong technical background in test automation, system integration testing, API validation, data verification, and quality assurance within modern Agile and CI/CD environments. 

Duration: 4 months

Work model: Hybrid (2-3 days at office per week)

 

Key activities

Automation Testing

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Web and API testing.
• Lead automation initiatives using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), and Karate or similar frameworks.
• Improve automation coverage, script reusability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
• Integrate and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Review automation code and promote automation best practices across the QA team.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Own and drive System Integration Testing (SIT), Integration Testing, Functional Testing, and Regression Testing activities.
• Define test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test data for applications and services.
• Execute and oversee manual testing where automation is not applicable.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Monitor testing progress, communicate quality status, risks, and test results to stakeholders.
• Support UAT activities and ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation.
• Strong experience in System Testing, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of test design techniques, defect management, and software testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with API automation using Karate Framework or similar tools.
• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Domain knowledge in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech.
• Experience leading or mentoring QA team members.
