JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer at NSC, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, with fixed working hours from 2PM to 10PM Vietnam time (the rest is flexible). 

We are looking for an Atlassian Cloud Migration Engineer to support and execute migration projects from on-premise/Data Center environments to Atlassian Cloud. The role involves planning migration activities, performing data migration, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring successful post-migration validation. 

Main responsibilities

• Plan and execute migration activities from On-premise/Data Center environments to Atlassian Cloud, including:
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Marketplace Apps
• Perform data migration for:
  • Projects
  • Issues
  • Users & groups
  • Workflows
  • Permission schemes
• Coordinate with stakeholders throughout migration phases
• Troubleshoot migration-related issues and perform post-migration validation
• Ensure migration quality, data integrity, and minimal service disruption

Additional Responsibilities

• Optimize Atlassian configurations following Cloud best practices
• Support cleanup and consolidation of legacy Atlassian instances
• Prepare and maintain migration documentation, technical approaches, and outcomes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Atlassian products:
  • Jira
  • Confluence
• Proven experience in Atlassian Cloud migration projects
• Familiarity with migration tools such as Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA)
• Solid understanding of:
  • User/group management
  • Permission models
  • Workflow configurations
• Experience level: Associate to Senior

Nice to Have

• Experience working on large-scale or enterprise migration projects
• Basic scripting knowledge for migration support (e.g., ScriptRunner)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear and effective communication skills in distributed/global teams
• Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style
