JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Tech Lead at NSC, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, with fixed working hours from 8AM to 5PM Vietnam time. This role is remote-first, but candidates are expected to be based in Hanoi to support occasional in-office collaboration when required. Also your responsibilities will include implementing customer requirements based on project priorities set during planning sessions.

We are looking for a Tech Lead who has a strong fullstack engineering background, enabling a holistic understanding of system architecture and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams to drive technical excellence and optimize development processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous improvement
• Own overall technical design and architecture for the system (backend & frontend) and make key technical decisions
• Guide development, review code, and ensure best practices, performance, and scalability
• Establish and improve development processes, workflows, and engineering best practices
• Ensure proper implementation of SDLC, including planning, development, testing, and release
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and propose improvements for system performance and team productivity

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with strong ownership mindset
• At least 3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or team leadership role
• Strong experience with Python (FastAPI) and solid understanding of API/system design
• Good knowledge of NextJS, TypeScript (for technical direction & code review)
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker and deployment practices
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and product development process
• Familiar with Agile, Waterfall and able to adapt based on project context
• Experience with deployment/release processes (CI/CD, environments, versioning basics)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Good English communication (required for daily work)
• Currently based in Hanoi or willing to relocate to Hanoi

Nice-to-have skills and experience

• Experience with C# / .NET
• Experience working in distributed or remote teams
