JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

As a Tech Lead at NSC, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, with fixed working hours from 3PM to 11PM Vietnam time.

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to join a large-scale education platform modernization project. The role involves leading technical delivery while actively contributing to development across backend, frontend, and cloud integration components.

The project focuses on building a new cloud-native solution on Microsoft Azure while integrating with the client’s existing AWS-based legacy systems.

This is a fast-paced project with a tight delivery timeline and strong long-term potential, as the platform will transition into an ongoing managed service model after the initial launch.

Main responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with the internal delivery team to define technical solutions and implementation approaches
• Break down requirements into actionable development tasks
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers
• Drive engineering best practices across the team

Architecture & Quality Assurance

• Ensure high standards for:
  • Code quality
  • Security
  • Performance
  • Scalability
• Review technical designs and implementation decisions
• Enforce framework and cloud best practices

Hands-on Development

• Actively contribute to backend and frontend development tasks
• Support API design and system integrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical blockers

Cloud & Integration

• Lead integration efforts between:
  • AWS (legacy systems)
• Ensure reliable and secure communication across environments

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical Stack

• Strong experience with:
  • PHP Symfony
  • React.js
  • Next.js
• Solid understanding of:
  • RESTful API development
  • Authentication & authorization
  • System integration patterns

Cloud Experience

• Working knowledge of AWS, particularly in integration scenarios

Leadership Experience

• Proven experience leading development teams or technical delivery
• Ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Additional Requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent English communication is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in education or enterprise platforms
• Experience working on cloud migration or modernization projects
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience supporting managed services or long-term product maintenance
